The photographer I researched as part of the Alphabet project was Rankin. I chose to use this series of work to influence my project because of the contrast in the red laces against the black and white photography. As you can see from the rest of my blog I am a little obsessed with this colour scheme and it immediately caught my eye when researching. This series of photographs is from the Nike Red Lace Campaign to help fight AIDS in Africa, all profits from the sale of this product goes to help this well deserved cause. 4. Funds are also contributed to The Global Fund to fund HIV/AIDS programs that support the purchase of lifesaving Antiretroviral (ARV) medication, training of medical staff, HIV testing and treatment to help prevent the transmission of the virus from pregnant mothers to their babies.
