I began this Blog due to a digital media project in college in September 2010 intending for it to be a digital record/archive showing all my work to date.  

From Annascaul, Co. Kerry. I studied In Limerick school of Art and Design for a year before transferring to NCAD, where I now study Art and Design Education. Whilst in Limerick I tried many different disciplines to find an area that suited me. I went to the college with the hope of taking on the fashion world, I however found the immense pressure, and competition from other students to much and subsequently decided it was not for me. I then tried my hand at ceramics which I enjoyed, but I was still not 100% confident in my discipline.

It was then that I heard about NCAD’s education course from a friend, and it is here now currently in 3rd year that I have found a passion for paint (the last thing I expected). I also still dabble in old hobbies such as photography (even though I’m not the best). I also keep up my fashion, I alter clothes for friends and often customise my own.

As a student teacher it is also important to me to keep up my art work, as I do not want it to be brought to a standstill while as I begin my career teaching. Hopefully this blog will encourage me to keep this up.
